Robby Vickery has been the pastor at St. Michael’s since 1990. After graduating college with an engineering degree, Robby was called to attend the Virginia Theological Seminary. He has been described as “a good example of the Episcopal Church at its best, seeking to find the middle way, to include everyone.” He has said that his goal has always been as a priest, to listen, teach and be a wholesome example. He has encouraged the parish to participate in and has actively participated himself in outreach projects at El Buen Samaritano, renovated homes for the poor in Austin and elsewhere, and challenged the parish to become part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
In addition to being a full-time mom, Shelley handles customer relations for a fitness boot camp. Previously, she and her husband, Barry, lived in San Diego. Shelley worked as an Academic & Enrollment advisor for online students at Ashford University. Prior to that, she worked in the
recruiting and staffing industry and she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Their four year-old son, Cooper, presently attends St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School and has an affinity for cars, trucks and superheroes. Shelley prefers hula hoops.
Hilary has three children who have all been students at SMEDS. Her 8 year old twin boys were in the inaugural class of 3 year olds when the school opened in 2010. Her 3 year old daughter is currently attending. Hilary and her husband, Brent, are members of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Princeton University and and M.B.A from Stanford University. Hilary loves travel and has lived in Europe for several years but is happy to have relocated to Austin in August 2010. She has worked as a management consultant and manager of professional development for a global consulting firm but is now filling her days as a full-time mom.
Originally from Chicago he attended college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville where he received his B.S. in Human and Organizational Development, with a concentration in leadership and organizational effectiveness. While at Vanderbilt he also met his wife, and moved to Austin in 2004 when she enrolled in St. Edwards University to pursue her masters in counseling. From 2004 until 2011 Matthew worked at Dell, spending the majority of that time working in the Risk Operations department of Dell Financial Services. He performed detailed reviews of accounts for credit/fraud risk and federal compliance. Additionally Matthew was responsible for supervising, training and coaching risk operations agents. After leaving Dell, he helped his wife establish her counseling practice. Since then he has formed a a new product design and development company with Eric Doyal. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children.
Adrianne has a son, age seven, and a daughter, age four, who have both attended St. Michael’s Day School. Adrianne and her husband, Isaac, are members of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She has a MA from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in the private and public sector as a bilingual speech-language pathologist. She and her family are active Austinites and enjoy exploring the outdoors.
A recent transplant from St. Louis, Missouri, Sarah has twin daughters inthe two-year-old classroom and two boys, ages six and eight. Sarah has her BS in Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University. She has worked in the public and private sector over the past 15 years specializing in sensory integration with children ages two to ten. She also assisted teaching pediatrics in the occupational therapy program at Saint Louis University. Sarah is passionate about messy play, motor development and play skills in young children. When not exploring Austin or trying out a new hike with her husband, Mike, and kiddos, Sarah can be found running or reading.
Hannah Howard and her husband, Stephen, have been attending Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church for the past 2 years and Hannah was recently nominated to the Vestry. Hannah grew up in Bryan, Texas where she graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in history. She currently teaches US History and World Geography at Reagan High School in Austin, Texas. Hannah enjoys reading, traveling, and snuggling with her kitty, Adrienne in her free time.
